Meet Our Meditation Guide

Mark Herrick

Mark has been meditating since 1975 and  teaching  meditation since 2016. In 2023 he became a Dharma Flower (Nichiren) Buddhist teacher, taking the Buddhist name of Nichiryu, or Sun Dragon, White Lotus.

 

Mark hosts weekly guiding chanting meditation classes online and at his local community center.

 

He has been married for 40 years and has one son. He spent 38 years in high tech and 25 years as a volunteer police officer and search and rescue K9 handler before retiring in 2019 to concentrate on teaching meditation and  Buddhism.
